A new era of growth for a beloved Seattle flower shop

Good Blooms Logo Brand Design by RKA INK

About the project

When Good Blooms came to us, the beloved Seattle flower shop was still known as Bouquet: a neighborhood institution with two storefronts, a devoted local following, and a century-old business that had outgrown the name, website, and systems supporting it.

We began with an in-person brand retreat in Seattle to uncover what made the business so special and imagine where founder Emily Kopca wanted to take it next. Together, we created a new name, Good Blooms, and a comprehensive brand and marketing strategy spanning positioning, customer experience, eCommerce, corporate gifting, events, technology, team systems, and long-term growth.

This strategy became the blueprint for the entire brand transformation:

  • a new visual and verbal identity
  • packaging design
  • messaging & copywriting
  • brand photography
  • custom Shopify web development
  • eCommerce user experience design
  • full tech stack transition
  • content and product migration
  • brand transition campaign
  • and ongoing creative direction!

Our goal wasn’t to replace the joy & delight people already loved in-person. We wanted to build a brand and business ecosystem to carry that joy into everything Good Blooms does next, near and far.

Logo, identity, packaging design

Good Blooms needed a brand identity that could preserve the warmth, whimsy, and neighborhood charm people already loved, while clearly announcing a joyful new chapter.

We developed a flexible logo and visual identity around the new name, balancing bold, structured typography with playful, hand-drawn details. The full system includes a logo suite, color palette, type system, seamless patterns, and branded touchpoints designed to feel unmistakably Good Blooms wherever the business shows up.

The result is whimsical enough to inspire an "Oooh!" or two and flexible enough to bloom across storefronts, packaging, stickers, gift tags, social media, events, corporate gifting, and everything the team dreams up next.

Messaging & brand photography

Good Blooms has always been so much more than flowers. Our job was to put language around the feeling customers already knew: more joy, more connection, more beauty, and the kind of radical hospitality that makes every interaction feel personal.

We developed the brand story, positioning, voice, key messages, website copy, and transition language needed to carry the business from Bouquet to Good Blooms without losing the trust and affection tied to its original name.

We paired that messaging with a brand photography direction rooted in the real life of the shops: colorful, candid, generous, local, and full of the people, products, and small moments that make Good Blooms feel like Good Blooms. Together, the words and imagery created a brand world that feels as warm and alive online as walking through the front door.

Shopify web design & development

The new website had to do far more than look beautiful. It needed to support two retail locations, local flower delivery, shippable gifts, workshops, weddings, events, corporate services, plant rentals, and a growing product catalog, while making the experience easier for customers and the team.

We led the transition to Shopify, restructured the site architecture, rewrote the copy, designed and developed the full eCommerce experience, migrated years of legacy products and content, and helped connect a smarter tech stack across retail, delivery, events, and email marketing.

The result is a bright, flexible digital home that carries the delight of the shops online while giving Good Blooms the infrastructure to grow, experiment, and introduce entirely new ways to shop, gather, gift, and celebrate.

Our partnership continues as the business evolves. We provide ongoing creative direction, brand and marketing strategy, eCommerce support, campaign guidance, and website refinements to support Good Blooms in flourishing for generations to come.
